Undergraduate research projects

Undergraduate Research Projects (3rd year UG; 2017- current); all undergraduates in Environmental Science or Environmental Biology must conduct a 3rd year project to graduate with honours.
In 2018-2019:
  • Impact of pharmaceuticals in waste water on seed germination,
  • Effect of light pollution on turtle hatching in Malaysia,
  • Investigating species tolerant to Rhododendron allelopathy in woodland sites

In 2017-2018 I supervised projects on:
  • Coastal erosion in north Norfolk,
  • Edge effects on insect diversity and abundance in a woodland ecosystems,
  • Crop nutrient responses in hydroponics and soil,
  • Impact of pharmaceuticals in waste water on seed germination,
  • Nutrient uptake preferences of aerial roots on plants adapted to different ecological niches at Kew.

MSci Research Projects (4th year UG; 2018-2019).
  • Aerial root responses of three species adapted to different niches under high or ambient humidity
